Hi I'm fi

I'm a freelance florist based in the west of Scotland. I specialise in creating bespoke floral arrangements for weddings/elopements and special events. My style is wild, natural, and full of movement—always inspired by the beauty of the garden. I’m passionate about growing my own flowers and foliage at home in my cutting garden, everything from cottage garden roses to unusual blooms you won’t typically find at the market. I especially love using sweetly scented, seasonal flowers that bring an element of charm and romance to my arrangements.

I launched fleur by fi in 2024 with the support of my husband. We utilized my cutting garden to supply my own fresh blooms to make simple hand-tied bouquets. I was making bunches for clients and regular floral orders for retailers. Since then I've had many amazing opportunities to supply wedding florals, host workshops and focus more on my cutting garden.

I have a background in painting and printmaking focusing on botanical art. My love for nature and it's intricate floral structures led me to explore a more hands-on approach as I transitioned to floristry. Creating arrangements that blend design, emotion, and seasonal beauty, floristry allows me to connect more directly with nature and people.

I draw a lot of inspiration from Scotland's wild, untamed beauty. I'm inspired by the seasonal wildflowers and the unruly landscapes, from its quiet and often overlooked soft hues to the delicate grasses. I'm often found foraging for native flowers and different weedy foliage to use. I try to bring these elements of my home to light in my own work.

At fleur by fi we are committed to being fully sustainable. We avoid single use plastics and offer bio degradable alternatives. In the cutting garden we refrain from the use of inorganic and harmful chemicals and opt for a naturally bio diverse approach to promote soil health and pollinators.

Weddings, elopements or whatever it may be I’ll work closely with you to create floral arrangements that reflect your style, tell your story, and feel like a natural extension of your day. From ceremony arches to bridal bouquets and reception tables, I love bringing your wild, bespoke ideas to life.
